We are a local community of swing dancers dedicated to our favorite hobby–the vernacular jazz dance of Lindy-hop.

Important Announcement About 520 Swing

Many people may already be aware, but I figured I should post something here as well.  You may have noticed that 520 Swing no longer appears on the calendar.  This is because we have merged with Warehouse Stomp to bring you an awesome dance greater than the sum of its parts.

But really, we basically had a dance every week in town as it was, now we’re just located at the same venue on the same night every week to make it easier.

So in short, don’t go to 520 Swing on Saturday, go to Warehouse on Friday.

Also I DJed last week at Warehouse.  Here’s the playlist (with time and BPM!):

Name Artist Time BPM
That’s How Rhythm Was Born The Solomon Douglas Swingtet 3:47 187
Twenty Four Robbers Gordon Webster 2:39 210

December 520 Swing Cancelled

Hey Everyone,

I just wanted to give a heads up that we will not be having 520 Swing this December (as in years past) simply due to the proximity of the holidays and lots of people leaving town.

See you all in the New Year!

Hot Club of Phoenix Comes to 520 Swing

Saturday, August 20th, 7:30pm
Hot Club of Phoenix at 520 Swing
Arizona Ballet Theatre – 2512 E 6th St.
$5 Admission

We’re excited to be hosting our first ever live band at 520 Swing in August.  The Hot Club of Phoenix is no stranger to playing for dancers having appeared at Al Moro in Phoenix and at the Albuquerque Lindy Exchange. Known for playing gypsy jazz in the style of the great jazz guitarist, Django Reinhardt, they are sure to keep you dancing the whole night!
